Angels in the architecture

Yesterday was a day to, as Katagiri Roshi would say, "Make positive effort for the good. Do not get tossed away."

1. Washed the dishes & bought food. A festive December for us is a full fridge. Brie cheese, cilantro, tiny sweet tomatoes, black beans, red beans, pinto beans, brown rice, grapefruit, apples, oranges, purple cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, green onions, mushrooms, cranberry-ginger cereal & sugar-frosted mini-shredded-wheats, potato chowder, eggs, butter, milk.

2. Set up Christmas decorations. Two gossamer angels with pearl wings drift on our blue kitchen counter amid packages, candles, chocolates, nuts, and a huge wooden platter of fruits. Good King Wenceslaus looked out... When I was done I lit the candles, turned off the lights, lit nag champa incense in the tibetan temple burner, and sat back, listening to Tanya Tucker softly singing, Shall I buy you diamonds? Shall I buy you pearls? Say the word and it's yours.

3. Finished preparations for Life Coaching. Today is my kickoff Initial Inventory with my first client. It's a practice round of sorts -- a 12-week series with a person who took the training the same time I did -- but I'm treating it as real. So it is.

4. Began working with Keith, the playwright for Acting And Performance in January.

5. Agreed to a Vision Sesh with Jeff, something we haven't done in a while. This is how two NFs (in Myers-Briggs terms) treat themselves -- by going deep.

6. Wrote the first draft of my ideal Google job.I am reflecting on what would be good for me, for my team, for the company, for our users, for the world, for all sentient beings. The part of me that usually thinks about Theatre, today is thinking just as archetypally about Search.
